Trouble seems to be brewing within the chambers of Alex Cooper’s podcast queendom.
The Call Her Daddy host’s Unwell Network—a growing media agency for hot, young influencers who yap about everything—is dropping TikTok superstar Alix Earle from their roster, Variety exclusively reported Tuesday.
The move comes as Us Weekly claims “a lot of drama” has been bubbling between Cooper and Earle, who boasts more than seven million TikTok followers.

“There’s a lot of tension,” one source told the outlet. “They’ve had a lot of drama between them [since] they decided to collaborate on Unwell,” a second insider added. “They clashed over business, and their friendship is over because of it.”
Cooper, who made headlines after interviewing former Vice President Kamala Harris on her podcast last year, has been working with Earle since September 2023 when she launched Unwell with Earle as her first hire.

Citing sources, Variety reported this week that Earle’s Hot Mess podcast would be dropped from Cooper’s podcast posse, and that SiriusXM will additionally no longer sell ads for the show.
Unwell has also renounced all rights to Hot Mess, allowing Earle to explore other future opportunities.
Representatives for Cooper and Earle did not immediately reply to the Daily Beast’s request for comment.
Rumors of a fallout between the two podcasters have been circulating on social media over the past few months, and found particular momentum after Earle failed to show at a Super Bowl party hosted by Unwell in February.
Despite losing one of Unwell’s top talents, Cooper’s Call Her Daddy is sure to keep the fort occupied as the podcast continues to reel in high-profile guests. The minted Gen Z media mogul also signed a $125 million three-year deal with SiriusXM in August last year, aspiring to bring her growing podcast pool to the radio empire.
