The Confederate flag flying on the grounds of the South Carolina’s statehouse was taken down shortly after 10 a.m. Friday, less than 24 hours after Gov. Nikki Haley signed a bill authorizing its removal. It will be taken to a Confederate museum where it will eventually have a specially made display case.
