Bruce Springsteen Performs 'Purple Rain'

REMEMBER

In tribute to Prince.

For the opening of a concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, Bruce Springsteen belted out "Purple Rain" as a tribute to Prince, who passed away on Thursday. "Whenever I catch one of his shows I always leave humble. So, I'm going to miss that and we're going to miss him," Springsteen said. Springsteen has a history of playing tributes. When The Band's Levon Helm died in 2012, he paid tribute to him in Newark with "The Weight." When The Eagles' Glenn Frey died earlier this year, he played "Take It Easy" in Chicago, and when Bowie died he played "Rebel Rebel" in Pittsburgh.
