A federal appeals court overturned a lower judge and ruled Monday that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady must serve a four-game suspension imposed by the NFL for his role in the so-called "Deflategate" controversy from the 2015 AFC championship game. The three-person panel sided 2-1 with the league against the players union, ruling that the NFL's disciplinary action was fair and appropriate. Brady has been blamed for the Patriots' underinflated footballs during its AFC championship victory over the Indianapolis Colts, after which they proceeded on to win the Super Bowl.
