The legal team for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said it will file an appeal to U.S. 2nd Circuit Court on Monday, requesting a stay of his suspension over the 2015 “Deflategate” controversy. The NFL Players Association said: “This is a case that not only affects Tom Brady but it affects every player.” In late April, a federal appeals court ruled that the quarterback must serve a four-game suspension over the incident in which Brady’s playoff game balls were suspiciously underinflated.
