Trump to Surrogates: Continue Bashing Judge, Journalists

During a Monday conference call, Donald Trump ordered his surrogates to intensify their criticisms of journalists and the Mexican-American judge presiding over a Trump University fraud case. “We will overcome,” Trump said, two people who were on the call told Bloomberg reporters. “And I’ve always won and I’m going to continue to win. And that’s the way it is.” According to Bloomberg, former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer pointed out to Trump that his campaign told surrogates to stop talking about the Trump University case, but the billionaire businessman “repeatedly demanded” to know who sent that directive and “immediately overruled his staff.” Trump has attacked Judge Gonzalo Curiel, saying last week that his Mexican heritage is a conflcit of interest. When a surrogate asked about orders from within the campaign to stop talking about the lawsuit against Trump University, the candidate vetoed the memo and reportedly said: “Take that order and throw it the hell out.”
