Hardee’s, Carl’s Jr. CEO Tapped as Labor Secretary

President-elect Donald Trump has picked Andy Puzder, CEO of CKE Restaurants, to be secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. CKE Restaurants owns Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr., among other restaurant franchises. Puzder, 66, previously served as an economic adviser to 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, and was a delegate to the 2012 and 2016 Republican National Conventions. This year, he served as an economic adviser to the Trump campaign.
