First ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Trailer Arrives

The first official teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrived Thursday morning. The nearly two-minute spot reveals more of the plot line from the much-hyped spinoff, showing Felicity Jones as a Rebel spy tasked with a desperate mission to steal the plans for the Death Star before it can be used as a weapon by the newly formed Galactic Empire. Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker also appears throughout the trailer in what appears to be a Darth Vader-like black Empire suit of armor. The film hits theaters Dec. 16.
