Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sánchez posted a mysterious Instagram Story hinting at a difficult start to the year.
In a photo of her inside an aircraft, the 55-year-old pilot wrote the caption: “Some years start with turbulence, but that’s just the wind reminding you to spread your wings.”
She did not clarify the meaning behind the post but added, “Good to be back in the air...Here’s to flying farther than we ever imagined.”

Despite the cryptic post, Sánchez has had an event-packed year so far. Trips on Bezo’s $500 million super yacht, her fiance’s Blue Origin rocket launch, attending Donald Trump’s swanky candlelit dinner before his swearing-in, and, of course, showing up in a bizarre outfit for the president’s inauguration on Jan. 20. Many criticized the clothing choice, calling it inappropriate for the occasion after wearing a white lacy corset top.
After the mysterious post about her year so far, many ran to the comments to support Sánchez.
“Fly high above the noise is the reminder I need,” wrote one commenter. Sánchez liked the comment.
“I love when the Universe sends me much needed reminders,” posted another. “I needed to see this today at this exact moment. Thanks for posting.”
In an early January post, the celebrity manifested a strong new year, calling 2025 “a year of continued growth, shared light, and endless possibilities.”
