Just as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was officially sworn in as secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, MAGA rolled out the red carpet for his wife Cheryl Hines online.
After a rocky last year—including news of RFK Jr.’s texting affair with journalist Olivia Nuzzi—Hines was praised online for standing by her polarizing husband.
“Cheryl Hines deserves an enormous amount of credit for staring down the leftist mob and supporting her husband, even though she knew the risk it posed to her career,” wrote Daily Wire senior reporter Cabot Phillips on X. “Not once did she throw RFK under the bus in exchange for their approval.”

“Based wife. We love and support our menfolk 100%. Thank you, Ms. Hines!” wrote one commentator under Phillips’ post.
Another added of Hines, “Tons of credit due there.”
Hines and RFK Jr.’s relationship appeared to hit several rough patches last year amid opposition to his failed presidential run, his peddling of health conspiracy theories, and more tales of his whacky behavior.
Nuzzi’s former fiancé, Ryan Lizza, alleged that she had been manipulated by RFK Jr., claiming the Kennedy scion wanted to “possess,” “control” and “impregnate,” reported CNN.
Yet as it all played out publicly, Hines appeared to slowly warm up to RFK Jr. joining the Make America Great Again fold as a member in President Donald Trump’s administration. Following her appearance beside RFK Jr. at Trump’s inauguration, Hines has leaned into publicly supporting her husband’s political aspirations.
“I’ve been thinking the same thing,” said another commentator about Hines. “She’s tough. I cannot imagine having to go through the same. God bless her.”
Another added, “You are so right. She is a good wife!”
RFK Jr. was confirmed to his HHS post by the Senate in a Thursday vote, 52 to 48, reported The Hill.
However, top Republican stalwart Mitch McConnell, 82, voted no and rebuked RFK Jr.’s vaccine stance in a fiery statement.
“In my lifetime, I’ve watched vaccines save millions of lives from devastating diseases across America and around the world,” wrote McConnell. “I will not condone the relitigation of proven cures, and neither will millions of Americans who credit their survival and quality of life to scientific miracles.”
Another commentator added of Hines, “@CherylHines is beast (I mean that in a good way). What a tough woman. I don’t know if she caught any hell for sticking by Bobby, but to see someone stand tall with grace like this is......pretty inspiring.”
