Melania Goes Into Hiding as Trump Floods the Zone

GONE MISSING

While President Donald Trump has been a political battering ram, the first lady hasn’t been seen since Jan. 24.

First lady Melania Trump has not been seen or heard from since the end of last month, despite her husband flooding the zone.

Melania was last seen by President Donald Trump’s side in North Carolina on Jan. 24, when she accompanied him on a tour of the Hurricane Helene disaster site. The same day, she watched as her husband partook in a very tense handshake with California Gov. Gavin Newsom after touching down in the state to survey the damage caused by the wildfires there.

And this, or Newsom planting a kiss on her cheek, must have scared her off as she has not been publicly spotted since. That’s despite her spouse firing off executive orders like they’re going out of fashion, meeting with a raft of world leaders and enjoying the weekend’s Super Bowl.

There, Ivanka Trump stepped in for her mother-in-law to watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Florida. But perhaps her absence is not that strange, as Trump’s presence marked the first time a sitting U.S. president has attended the annual NFL championship.

However, the former model has also been conspicuously absent from high-profile White House events, too. She was out of sight when the president made his first legislation of his second term official on Tuesday. Trump signed the Laken Riley Act into law in front of the murdered nursing student’s family members. There was no sign of Melania, despite the event taking place on the White House’s East Wing.

The public was also starved of her steely glare when her husband welcomed world leaders like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, and King Abdullah of Jordan.

She and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, King Abdullah’s wife, looked like the best of pals back in mid January, meeting in Palm Beach, Florida and having a spot of lunch before Trump was sworn in as president. The pair have met thrice, but Rania’s absence on Tuesday nullified the need for Trump’s spouse to be present.

But she was, of course, invited to a special dinner for Republican senators and their spouses held at Mar-a-Lago on Friday. Melania didn’t show up, however, as reported by the Daily Mail. She also hasn’t posted on social media since she made an X tribute to the victims of the crash between a helicopter and a passenger plane in Washington D.C. on Jan. 29. Her official FLOTUS Instagram account only has one post, her much-maligned White House photograph.
