The “most expensive home” in Pacific Palisades that was used as a set on HBO’s Succession, has burned down, The Daily Mail reports. The multimillion dollar mansion was bought by Luminar Technologies CEO Austin Russel for $83 million in 2021, and was available to rent for a whopping $450,000 per month. The 18-bedroom estate had six bathrooms, a 20-seater theater, and a “Nobu-designed chef’s kitchen,” the outlet adds. It also boasted a temperature-controlled wine cellar and a retractable roof for stargazing, along with a massive swimming pool in the backyard. The house was featured in the fourth season of Succession as a luxury pad for the Roy siblings, Shiv (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Kendall (Jeremy Strong). The Daily Mail adds that the mansion has been completely destroyed, down to its two panic rooms, in the aftermath of the Palisades wildfire. More than 180,000 Los Angeles County residents have been displaced since the fires first began Tuesday. NBC News reports that at least 13 people have died, with more than 150,000 under evacuation orders.
