Scarlett Johansson’s alleged stalker was arrested Wednesday for threatening to bomb the Saturday Night Live studio in Manhattan where her husband works, the New York Post reports. Forty-eight-year-old Michael Branham, who has an elaborate heart-shaped tattoo with the word “Scarlett” on his chest, was arrested after allegedly texting a bomb threat to the 30 Rock studio, where SNL is filmed. According to law enforcement, the message read: “THE NEXT TIME YOU HERE [sic] FROM ME I WILL BE ON CNN FOR EXPLODING A BOMB IN SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE AUDIENCE.” Branham, who has four active arrest warrants in Kentucky, was arraigned with bail set at $100,000. Prosecutors allege he has an obsessive fixation on Johannson, whom he refers to as his “fiancée” and posts delusional claims about online. The actress tried to file a restraining order against Branham in 2024 after he repeatedly turned up at her home, but the claim was dismissed due to a procedural error. Johansson married husband Colin Jost, who hosts SNL’s “Weekend Update,” in 2020.
