A judge in the trial of two 12-year-old girls accused of stabbing a classmate has ruled that one of the girls, Morgan Geyser, is not competent to stand trial, but likely will be in the future. Geyser and Anissa Weier are accused of nearly stabbing their classmate to death in order to please an Internet myth/meme called Slender Man. A psychologist who interviewed Geyser says she laughed hysterically, moved constantly, and expressed belief in fictional characters, but is likely to become competent in the future. A psychiatrist who evaluated her reports that she believes she has Vulcan mind control, can communicate with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and is primarily concerned with not angering Slender Man. Geyser will be sent to the state Department of Health Services for mental-health treatment.
