During an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, President Trump revealed that his plan to “take over Gaza” and resettle its population while the area is redeveloped includes prohibiting more than 2 million Palestinians from returning home.
On Sunday, Baier asked Trump if “Palestinians would have the right to return” home in a clip teased Monday morning on Fox & Friends.
“No, they wouldn’t because they’re going to have much better housing,” Trump said.

He added that they would have “no alternative” because of the destruction wrought by Israel’s military campaign.
Last week, Trump announced that the U.S. intended to take over the Gaza Strip and redevelop it into a vacation destination for “world citizens.” The president suggested Gazans could be relocated to Jordan or Egypt while the area was redeveloped.
Instead of allowing Gazans to return home under the hypothetical plan, Trump suggested that his administration would “build beautiful communities, safe communities” that are “a little bit away from where they are, where all of this danger is.”
He added: “In the meantime, I would own this. Think of it as a real estate development for the future. No big money spent.”
The president expressed confidence that other countries would come to the rescue.
“In other words, I’m talking about building a permanent place for them because if they have to return now, it’ll be years before you could ever—it’s not habitable,” Trump told Baier. “I’m talking about starting to build, and I think I could make a deal with Jordan. I think I could make a deal with Egypt. You know, we give them billions and billions of dollars a year.”
