The White House has authorized the Federal Bureau of Investigation to interview anyone the agency deems necessary in its probe into sexual-misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, according to a Monday report from TheNew York Times. This comes just a day after the administration faced criticism for allegedly limiting the scope of the investigation. “The F.B.I. should interview anybody that they want within reason, but you have to say within reason,” President Trump said during a Monday press conference. “But they should also be guided, and I’m being guided, by what the senators are looking for.” He added that “I want it to be comprehensive,” and that “I think it’s actually a good thing for Judge Kavanaugh.”
