Asked by 60 Minutes' Lesley Stahl if, as president, he will continue to tweet whatever it is he happens to be upset about at any given moment, Donald Trump said, "I'm going to do very restrained, if I do it at all." Boasting about his millions of followers, and the thousands more he's picked up since Election Day, Trump added, "It’s a modern form of communication. There should be nothing we should be ashamed of. It's where it's at." Trump credited his social media presence for helping him beat Hillary Clinton, despite the fact that she outspent him on traditional advertising. "I have a method of fighting back that's very tough," he said.

After taking a brief break from Twitter following his victory Tuesday night, Trump was back at it late on Thursday, blasting the "professional protesters, incited by the media," who he said were being "very unfair" to him. By early the next morning, he had changed his attitude about the protests completely, tweeting, "Love the fact that the small groups of protesters last night have passion for our great country. We will all come together and be proud!" Among the most resonant lines from Hillary Clinton's Democratic National Convention speech was, "A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons."
